The Internet is Finally Working!
Sorry for the delay in posting! Our internet has been down for the last week and we just now were able to get it back up and running! We'll see how long it lasts!
All is quiet on the Howard Home front. Hutton, unfortunately, came down with another ear infection last week so I've been nursing him back to health. Luckily it was only in one ear this time and we caught it early enough that it wasn't bad yet. Now Craig and I are fighting of the head cold right before the holidays! I HATE colds!! There is absolutely nothing you can do but wait it out! Boo!
I do believe Hutton is starting the whole "separation anxiety" thing! We had to leave him with a sitter twice this week to attend Christmas parties for Craig's work. Both times, when the sitter arrived at our house, he looked at me, looked at the sitter, looked back and me and just started crying! It was like he knew what was happening!! I think it was harder on me than it was him though!
Making our way to the Promised Land for Christmas...Yes I'm referring the beautiful Bluegrass State of Kentucky!!!! I'm soooo excited I can't see straight! Never thought I'd be one that gets homesick easily but ever since I got married and had that sweet baby boy, I just can't get home often enough! You better believe Nana and Pops as well as his three aunts, are just ecstatic to see him!! It's been way to long!
I'm taking on a new endeavor in the New Year...I'll be selling baby/kids clothes!! Yay! It's not even for the money as much as it is to just give me something to work towards! I simply want a goal to work towards! Anyways, it's called Kelly's Kids. I'm really excited about it! They have some super cute stuff! Check out their website and let me know if you want to buy anything! www.kellyskids.com
While we were in Amarillo we took some awesome family pictures! I finally have access to them so enjoy!!

Mummy Group!
I have been extremely blessed to be a part of a weekly mommy/playgroup! My friend Annalise that started it is British and so she calls it "Mummy Group." There have been seven of us with seven babies ranging from ages 6-12 months now. It's been so fun! I've posted a few more pictures from last Friday's group. Just fun to watch those sweet little ones interact! For the group pictures on the couch we had to give them pieces from a plastic nativity scene to keep them occupied for pictures! Haha! I think Hutton tried to eat baby Jesus! We are missing one in the pictures...Sweet baby Sydney. The boys are totally outnumbered! There are also more fun pics of my sweet little man!
A reminder this holiday season...
I love this song by my favorite artist Carrie Underwood. The lyrics of this beautiful song are a great reminder that no matter what you're going through, we must have hope in God's eternal plan. This earth and it's troubles are temporary, but God's love is eternal and everlasting.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Half a Year Old!
I CAN'T BELIEVE Hutton turned 6 months yesterday!! It's crazy to think that it has already been half a year! I think that is what has been the most sobering part of motherhood...the fact the life is now measurable. When I was single or even newly married, you feel young and invincible like you aren't really getting older. Now that Hutton is part of our lives, you see him grow and change so fast and in just a mere blink it's been 6 months! It's pretty crazy and a reminder of just how short life really is.
I took Hutton for his six month checkup on Wednesday. He weighed in at 19.9lbs, 27.5 inches long, and a head circumference of 18. He's a BIG boy! Everything looked great and we are so blessed that he so healthy and strong!
He is finally in a pretty predictable routine. (I know as soon as I say that it will change!) He goes to bed around 6:30-7 and sleeps til 7-7:30!!! He's a GREAT sleeper! For that, we ARE SO thankful! Not much of a napper but does great at night time! He takes about three 45 minute naps a day so I try to maximize that time as much as possible performing all of my other household duties! I have also found myself in a great routine, finally getting back in the gym. I've been taking some Body Pump and Step classes and I'm loving it! I feel great! It's amazing what a good workout will do not only for your self-esteem but for your energy levels! I need all the energy I can get!
Here are some more pictures of sweet baby boy! Enjoy!

Amarillo by Morning
We had the honor of spending the Thanksgiving holiday with Craig's beautiful family in Amarillo, Texas! It was a long drive, but worth every minute of it! We thought we were going to drive through the night Tuesday and let Hutton sleep the whole way, but our plan didn't go as we had anticipated. We are discovering that Hutton doesn't really like to sleep in the car so by midnight we decided it wasn't worth it to wear him out and we stopped in Oklahoma City. You would think with as much as our sweet baby boy travels that he would be a great traveler by now but that is simply not the case!
We arrived in Amarillo on Wednesday around 2:oopm. This was the first time little Hutton got to meet his two cousins from Houston, Wade (3yrs) and Carson (3mos). Seeing those three sweet boys interact was the cutest thing I have ever seen!! Wade was so sweet to the babies and Hutton just laughed at him and tried to pull his hair! It was so much fun!! That afternoon, we had hired a photographer in Amarillo to take some family pictures for us. (www.heatherladdphotography.com) Can't wait for you to see them!
The week was full of yummy turkey, baby time, and playing the Wii! There were baby boys running, rolling, and laying around everywhere! I'll tell you one thing...The Howards need to produce some baby girls!! I don't know what to do with all this testosterone...Something I'm totally not used to coming from a family of 3 sisters! Hutton did receive his first haircut while we were there as well...by Grandma and myself! He was starting to have this Dwight Schrute thing going on in the front with these two long pieces so we snipped them a little bit! Now he looks like Lloyd Christmas from Dumb and Dumber...But way cuter I might add! Hahaha!!
I will tell one funny story real quick. Today we drove from Amarillo to Ft. Smith, AR and are currently bunked up in a hotel. After having lunch in Oklahoma City, I took Hutton out to the car to change his diaper. (He had been sitting in this one for awhile!) I laid him down in the back seat of my tiny Toyota Corolla and started cleaning him up. As I removed the dirty diaper and reached to grab the clean on, I heard a little toot...There was absolutely no time to get the diaper underneath!! Hutton left a nice little present in the backseat of my car the one time I didn't lay a changing pad down!!
Craig was inside paying for lunch, I had poop in my seat and no where to lay my sweet baby boy. So, with zero other options, I sat Hutton in the floor of my car on top of a bag of potato chips!! (I swear there was no room anywhere else! We head the car packed in tight!!) As I cleaned up poop, he laid there half naked trying to open the potato chips! As Craig approached the car, I told him what happened and instead of him taking Hutton or helping clean, he quickly backed away from the car once he saw the mess lil man had left! He said he was going to be sick!! HAHA! Oh, the things we mommies have to handle on our own!
Hope you had a HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Get ready...it's Christmas time!!

10 Dresses and Counting!
I always thought the movie 27 Dresses was a pretty good descriptor of my life, although I got married before I hit the double digits of bridesmaids dresses! I have been blessed with some incredible women in my life and have been honored to represent several of them on their wedding days!
This past weekend, one of my dear friends, Maranda Webb, walked down the aisle and married the love of her life, Alan Daws, in Marietta, GA and I was honored to be a part of it. I can't tell you how I desperately needed that girl time with my friends and how blessed I was to share in this experience with her! My sweet friend deserves the best and I truly believe she found an incredible Godly man who is going to love her and cherish her in all the days ahead! The wedding was gorgeous and the reception was hoppin'! We had an absolute blast last week and I was sad to leave!
Alan and Maranda, I am so happy for guys and can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for your future together! Looking forward to many more memories with you guys! Have a blast on your honeymoon! Love you both!
