Born and raised in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, I am simply a country bumpkin trying to be the best wife and mother I can be while attempting to figure out this thing called life! I am madly in love with the two men in my life...my incredible husband Craig, whom I married on November 22, 2008, and my beautiful baby boy Hutton, who entered this world on June 3, 2010. Blessed. That's the one word to describe how I feel about my life! I am so grateful for God's grace and unconditional love and owe my life to Him. Thank you Jesus for saving a wretch like me!
In the last month, Hutton has had THREE high fever viruses! Poor baby has been through the ringer lately! It's so frustrating to see him get so sick, take him to the doctor, and then hear, "It's just a virus. You'll just have to wait it out a few days!" We paid over $100 last month, just in copays!! Not that I want them to say something worse, but maybe something they can at least give him some medicine for! Last week Hutton was absolutely miserable. His temp got up to 104, he wasn't taking any bottles for like two days, and he had a very sore throat. Dr. thought it was strep but ended up being just a "virus!" There was one night that he was up ALL night! It was probably the most difficult night we've had since he was born! I had never seen our little boy so sick. It took about 5 days before the little man was back to his normal self. I am happy to say his is now healthy and happy and so is mommy! So yes, I'm over the "V" word! Hopefully we'll have a healthy summer!
Thank you for visiting our blog! I started this blog a couple of years ago to simply share all of our day to day experiences, exciting news, and ministry updates with all of our long-distance friends and family! As time has progressed, it's become something I do just because I enjoy it and at the end of the day, a way for me to unwind! I'm pretty open and honest...BEWARE! From the daily realities of mommyhood, the blessings and trials of marriage, to the simple joys and hardships of just being a woman, my goal is to authentically share my thoughts, feelings, and life with you! Hope you can find some encouragement from it and maybe a couple of laughs! Enjoy!
